Margaret Yee Yuen

What a surprise to hear from Shelley Smith Graham that she lived in my current home in Palos Verdes Estates, CA when it was first built in 1962!! Back then it had a view of Redondo Beach, but now all the .99 Monterey pines have taken over. I graduated from UC Berkeley (BusAdm-Acctg) where I met/married my college sweetheart Jim, (Mech. Engr.) We will be celebrating our 35th anniversary this Thanksgiving. We raised two wonderful children: Pam, who works for Amgen and got married in Malibu 3 years ago, and Doug, who just graduated from USC and is now a pharmacist for CVS.

We have moved around the state 9 times with our longest stay being in Thousand Oaks, CA. My favorite job was being a hotel tax auditor for over a hundred cities in the state of CA, as it allowed me to travel (and eat out) alot. I presently work part time for the Palos Verdes Peninsula USD teaching elementary students how to use Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and KidPix. For more pix, become my friend on FaceBook.

My highest honor was being asked to carry the California State Flag around the Reflection Pool at the Celebration on the Hill in DC in 2002 for the American Cancer Society. This July 4th I became a 10 year breast cancer survivor!! My second highest honor was meeting Michael Chang (he just got inducted into the Tennis Hall of Fame) in church.

I still fly up to visit my mom in Orinda and my two nieces attend Del Rey Elem. Jim and I lived on Southwood Dr. from 1982-1984 but have been in sunny SoCal ever since.

Blessings to all of you.

In His Care,
Margaret Yee Yuen ?:)
